Day 1
Meeting at the airport or train station of Petrozavodsk. Boarding on a comfortable minibus. Transfer to the tourist base to Kudama Village on Lake Syamozero which appeared in the twentieth century at the place of ancient Saami site – first occupants of this area of the 3rd -1st century BC. Arrival to Kudama Village. Accommodation in the Russian style wooden guest house.
Day 2
Today the program includes an eventful travelling on the dog-pulled sleds in the snow-covered taiga (30 km). You will get acquainted with the life of first occupants of this land - Wood Saami, learn about a taiga life and the rules of care of the dog team. Such interesting pastime will not only give you plenty of positive emotions but will allow to switch to the high-grade interesting rest full of events, adventures, new knowledge and impressions.
Day 3
Dog-pulled sleds (50 km). During the trip you will be able to take nice photos with winter views of the Karelian nature.
Day 4
Start of the route (40 km) to Kudama along forest roads which used to be hunting paths of the coastal part of Syamozerye. Return to Kudama. Participation in feeding of the dogs of your team.
Day 5
Start of the dog-sled route - 25 km in the wood. Return to Kudama. National dinner in yaranga round the bonfire. Karelian smoked fish from the lake and national Karelian pies (“kalitka”)
Day 6
Dog-pulled sleds 25 km. We leave the small village Kudama on Lake Syamozero and set off to Petrozavodsk. Accommodation in the hotel.
Day 7
Visit to the Museum-Reserve on Kizhi island. The program includes a sightseeing tour around the island-museum. Transfer to Petrozavodsk (railway station). Departure to St. Petersburg.
