If you have ever been to lake Baikal, it is likely in the South-Western part of it. This program provides an opportunity to learn the wildlife of the Baikal region, walking along its shores accompanied by a catamaran, and then plunge into the taiga forests, see the hidden lake Frolikha, climb several hills and finally cross the deepest lake in the world by ship.

Day 1
Arrival in Irkutsk. Transfer to the hotel. Free time.
Day 2
Organizational questions, filling in documents, distribution of equipment and group stuff. Transfer to the starting point of the route. Loading things on a catamaran. Walk to the Dagara bay, accompanied by a catamaran.
Day 3
Hiking from the Dagara bay with a catamaran on the water to the Cape Erekshakan.
Day 4
Continue of hiking along the coast of Baikal from the cape Erekshakan to Frolikha bay.
Day 5
Last hiking day along Baikal before reaching Frolikha lake. Itinerary: Frolikha bay - Ayaya bay.
Day 6
Change of landscapes. The trek to the lake Frolikha through taiga forests on the trails of Siberia.
Day 7
Radial hike from the camp near lake Frolikha to the mount Vershina 1 with returning back to the camp.
Day 8
Trekking to the South side of Frolikha lake with crossing the mount Medvezhya (Bear’s mount).
Day 9
Return to the Ayaya bay by the same way as on Day 6.
Day 10
Last day of trekking. Itinerary: Ayaya bay - Khakusy village. Rest time on the hot springs.
Day 11
Transfer by boat across Baikal lake to the Western coast to Severobaikalsk. Then transfer to the guest house.
Day 12
Transfer to Nizhneangarsk airport and flight to Irkutsk. Check-in to the hotel.
Day 13
Check-out and transfer to the airport of Irkutsk. Departure.
