This tour is for ones who is ready to real adventures in the mountains and wishes to challenge. You will go trekking to the foot of Belukha 4506 m — the highest peak of Siberia and subdue legendary Kara-Tyurek Pass 3060 m which opens into amazing valleys of the Ak-Kem River and the Kucherla River.

What's the plan?
Day 1Meeting at the Gorno-Altaisk Airport. Visiting National Museum of Altai Republic. Transfer to Tungur village. Accommodation in tents at the camping base. Dinner in the national Altai style. Russian banya (sauna).
Day 2Transfer to Elan place by UAZ 4x4 (about 30 min). Observing ancient Petroglyphs. Night we are spending in a camping in the middle of the way to the Kucherlinskoe lake (Ozek Ore place). Trekking 12 km, ↑554, ↓ 232
Day 3We reach up to the Kucherlinskoe lake, it is place number 1 to visit near Belukha Mountain! Trekking 13 km, ↑700, ↓ 309
Day 4Hiking route around Kucherlinskoe lake. The route is chosen depending on the weather and physical fitness of the group. Return to our camping near Kucherlinskoe lake in the evening. Hiking 10 km, ↑ ↓ 969
Day 5We are rising up to Cedar camping place, here is the last water before Kara-Turek (means “Black heart”) pass. Trekking 9 km, ↑898, ↓ 335
Day 6Crossing the pass Kara-Turek (3060 meters above sea level). This day we will see Belukha mountain for first time. Staying near Ak-Kem river. This night we spend near the touristic base at the “Svoya Tropa Camping”. Trekking 10 km, ↑ 800, ↓ 1040
Day 7-8Hiking routes. We choose 2 places to visit (hard or light hiking), depending on the status of our group). These days, we observe Belukha mountain everywhere. Places we can visit: Valley of 7 lakes, The Spirits lake, Alpinists Chapel, Stone Village of Rerikh. Hiking 8-14 km
Day 9Trekking to the Tekelyu camp, by the right side of Ak-kem river. Hiking to Tekelyu waterfall (the biggest waterfall in Altai, Height of fall ~60 meters). Trekking 12 km, ↑ 710, ↓ 640
Day 10Trekking will start by the hard rising up to the 2300 meters height, and then 300 meters more. Maximum height above the sea level - 2600 meters. Then we are reaching Guldayry lake (2150 meters above the sea level). Staying during the night. Trekking 8 km, ↑ 550, ↓ 300
Day 11On this day we walk by traverse trek without big elevation or descent. Average value of the height: about 2100 meters. Then we reach Tukhman camp. Trekking 16 km, ↑ 628, ↓ 588
Day 12On this day we observe Belukha last time, best panoramic views to Katun ridge. We lose altitude (about 1200 meters will be lost) during this day. Then we take mountain taxi “GAZ-66” and have mountain safari back to Tungur (about 14 km). Russian banya. Dinner in the national Altai style. We congratulate each other with passage of the route. Trekking 12 km
Day 13Transfer to Gorno-Altaisk (450 km). On the way: visiting the Museum of Local History, N.K.Roerich Museum at the Verkh. Uimon Settlement and Ust-Kan Cave. Lunch. Arrival to Gorno-Altaisk. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner.
Day 14Transfer to Gorno-Altaisk Airport. Flight to Moscow.
