The purpose of the trip is to get acquainted with the specifics and climbing potential of the Altai.
According to the plan, there are three locations to visit.  A unique cluster of rocky outcrops, to some extent reminiscent of Stolby at Krasnoyarsk is placed next to lake Kolyvanskoe, not far from the village Savvushka (340km) of Zmeinogorsk district. The rocks are pillar stones of imaginative shapes: from a submarine and an elephant to a UFO object. Climbing routes are very diverse: from hard overhangs with cornices to fireplaces and smooth “plus” plates. The range Che-Chkysh – a rock canyon in the valley of Katun - is 56 km down Chemal road (380 km from Barnaul). The gorge is known for its unique beauty. There is a big number of long-distance routes on the clean rock. It is limestone. It is a very interesting granite district, close to lake Teletskoye. Among the attractions, there is one and a half meter high relief depicting Lenin carved in the rock at the height of about 40 meters. (Lead climbing, bouldering, trad climbing, drytooling, multipitches, trad climbing).
